University Chorale November 20, 2008

I was very lucky to get to sing in the chorale Fall semester. I never realize how much I miss singing until I get to sing. I have also gotten to know Bro K. well, and this way I got to know his wife who was the director better as well.

Mom is not very sneaky with the picture taking. I saw her so I'm smirking, plus everyone around me thought that they needed to tell me she was there. :)

Don't we look so good. Where's Waldo... I mean Kellene?

The Kammerers and I

Megan is pretty awesome. She was another reason choir was so nice.

Strutting my mu'u mu'u. I was considering getting one for keeps, what do you think. ;)

Life Goes On

Even though Mom was there I still had to continue with school. Mom enjoyed watching me practice for my sight singing test and writing a research paper among other things.

We did however get to do some fun non-music related things. TheBus is a great way to get to Matsumoto's shave ice (always a must) and Haleiwa Thai eats (delicious as well).

Surprise - November 19, 2008

Mom surprised me by walking into my room the night of my Steel band concert. It was quite a shock but a very nice surprise. I enjoyed having her here to cheer for me.
It is a little hard to see but that is me setting up. We had a few songs with a percussion ensemble before the steel drums. I played marimba then the trumpet (and no that is not a percussion instrument) and I had a solo on the duck call. :) it took me hours to get the solo right. Actually they assigned me to it in the dress rehearsal hours before I was a bit nervous for that, it takes skill to play the duck call with proficiency.

I was glad Mom was there.

I am ashamed to say I didn't help taking down very much because everyone wanted my picture.

My fan club including Teresa was there with my poster. They are Awesome!
