Halloween

So I hadn't figured out what I wanted to be for Halloween and it was the afternoon/evening of Halloween and we decided to try and make my hair stick up with the aid of hangers but it was not working very well. It wasn't working so well and we were running out of time. it ended up that we messed up my hair majorly and I went as my hidden self... an insane woman. :)

Rachel went as an emo (which didn't work by the way because she can't keep from smiling and laughing) and Teresa went as a zombie princess. They were both gorgeous in a Halloweenish scary way, and then there was me. It took a load of conditioner, a half hour of combing it out, and a couple of days to get my hair back to normal.

Since Teresa is an RA and had to work at the Halloween activity that housing put on, that is where we went. The pictures are a little foggy because of the fog machine but that just adds to the crazy looks people had.

You better watch out we may end up at your door next year. hahahaha

Happy Halloween!

Dole Plantation Maze

We went to the Dole Plantation and went to the worlds largest maze according to the Guinness Book of World Records 2001 on October 25th . It rained a lot and we were thoroughly soaked. It was tons of fun though.

I was pretty excited to go since I had never been in a maze of any kind.

At this point we were not too wet and had just found one of the eight stations we needed to finish the maze.

After we were done, we were drenched from the rain and the wet hibiscus bushes, oh and also from having Teresa throw water on me from the wet metal station. Funny thing was, she did it without intending to and was more surprised than I was when my shirt became sopping wet.

A little more rain wasn't going to hurt anything.

Smile everyone... or open wide. I don't remember why this became the face of choice.

Picnic

October 19th
We missed dinner one night and decided to pull our resources together. It turned out quite well and was a lot of fun too. I really like having a room big enough to move in.

Pep Band Oct 18

I’m still behind on putting things up so this is a continuation of Oct 18. This year I am the student pep band assistant and I guess part of the job description is for me to direct when Mr. Payton, the director is gone. I must say, it was the most terrifying experience of my life but one of the best I suppose.

An example of one of my terrible cut offs, well it wasn't actually a cut off. You can see the trombone player wave to me and I froze and stopped. he, he, thirsty.

This one wasn’t too bad I actually prepared them for this one.

By the end I wasn’t as nervous so I had some more fun with it after the game was done. this video is long and is more of the same exciting waving of my arm, so unless you're like my mom and want to see everything your could probably pass this up. :)

After all the adrenaline and stress of making sure we had all the sound system equipment and things, getting everyone out and ready to play, choosing songs (making decisions which I hate), and making sure the song ended before the ball was in play, I was exhausted!
