Swapmeet

Saturday the 18th Teresa and I went to the swap meet and sauntered all around the Aloha Stadium. We got some things that we needed, such as necklaces, stickers, earrings, hair flower ornament thing, a shirt, and samples (almost as good as Costco), as well as somethings that maybe we didn't need such as a wind chime (the Asian lady practically decided for me and bagged it before I had time to say anything. I am glad that I got it though) , and jam (really good jam by the way.).

We weren't quite sure how these sun glasses could work, but they are quite interesting.

I went for the fish. Teresa lives on the edge and went for the sharks.

Honolulu Zoo

So we went to the zoo on Saturday, October 11. It was so much fun. The animals didn’t look very healthy and their pens were really small. Some had gone crazy but we did our best to enjoy ourselves. Between three cameras we took 494 pictures. I won’t put them all on here, one because it would take forever to load and two a lot of them are almost identical but I’ll give you the better ones.

This was Kim’s first time to a zoo and her first time seeing an elephant.

We were taking too long looking at the tons of birds so Kim decided to add to the beautiful scenery.

They were shy until they saw we had food. We all thought it was cool, well I guess Rachel didn’t mind them being farther away.

We weren’t supposed to feed them by the way. Although, they didn’t say anything about teasing...

I don’t think I have ever seen anything as incredible as this giraffe running. It looked like it was in slow motion. This huge animal was almost floating along, such grace. I can only imagine what it would have looked like had it been healthy. God’s creations are amazing.

Rachel’s knees have been giving her a lot of trouble so we got her a wheelchair and pushed her all around. But after 5 hours in the Zoo, she was still wiped out.

Back in the Swing

Fitting back into the swing of things again and having a lot of fun. Seeing old friends and making a ton of new ones, means a ton of laughs. I'll probably have a six-pack by the end of the semester. I am really enjoying my new roommate, Teresa, who is an RA. That also means we have a bigger room which is really nice after two years of living in matchbox sized rooms.

We have had some eventful times already. A bird decided to pay us a call one morning and trying to get him to leave was a trick. We were finally able to throw a towel over it, scoop it up, and escort him outside.
